Prep Time: 20–30 minutes
This includes chopping vegetables (like onions, celery, and herbs), cubing the bread, and gathering all the ingredients.
Cook Time: 30–45 minutes
If you're cooking it separately in a baking dish, it'll usually take about 30–45 minutes at 350°F (175°C), or until it’s golden and crispy on top.
Ingredients:
Pan of Crumbled Cornbread (8x8)
Pan of JIffy Mix (Prepared as directed on package)
2 Cups of croutons (sage/herb flavored)
2 Slices of bread (torn in pieces)
2 Celery Ribs/Stalks (diced)
2 Medium Onions
1 Bag of Frozen Seasoning Blend
2 Tablespoons of Parsley
2 Tablespoons of Sage
1/2 Teaspoons of Black Pepper
5 Chicken Bouillon Cubes (dissolved in 5 cups of water)
1 Egg
1/2 Stick of butter (1/4 stick if using sausage or gizzards)
1/3lb Hot Tennessee Pride Sausage (torn apart)
Directions:
Step 1.
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2.
Place both pans of crumbled cornbread, croutons, torn bread slices, parsley, sage and black pepper and sausage into a large bowl or pan.
Step 3.
Saute vegetables in skillet
Step 4
Add the sauteed vegetables to the cornbread mixture
Step 5
Mix well
Step 6
Pour in the bouillon liquid stirring until completely mixed.
Step 7
Add the egg just before putting in roasting pan or casserole dish to cook
Step 8
Cook 30-45 minutes
